IP Whitelist form
The IP Whitelist form enables you to associate IP address whitelist ranges with user roles.
You can use any of the following range specifications:
Individual address (aaa.bbb.ccc.ddd)
CIDR format (aaa.bbb.ccc.ddd/x)
Range (aaa.bbb.ccc.ddd-aaa.bbb.ccc.eee)where the second address must be ordered after the first address.
The following entries represent some valid examples for the IP address ranges:
111.222.111.222
111.222.111.222,111.222.111.223
111.111.111.111/24
134.37.94.107-134.37.94.109
134.37.94.107,134.37.94.108-134.37.94.109,134.37.94.107/24
fe80:0000:0000:0000:0202:b3ff:fe1d:8329,fe80:0000:0000:0000:0202:b3ff:fe1e:8329/96
fe80::0202:b3ff:fe1d:8329,fe80::0202:b3ff:fe1e:8329/96
For each role, you can either enter a combination of the above specifications separated by commas or add multiple entries for the same role to the IP Address Whitelist view (on page 1).
To add an IP Whitelist range:
From the User Role drop-down list, select the user role for which you want to restrict the IP addresses.
In the IP Address Whitelist Range field, specify the IP address whitelist range for the selected role.
N4 supports both IPv6 and IPv4 syntax; however, you cannot mix the syntax for the two versions together.
